Viral Core Facility for the Generation of Viral Particles

The Viral Core Facility (VCF) of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin offers Charité scientists and external academic scientists ("non-profit Organizations") services for the generation of viral particles. With the help of these particles, the  functions and properties of specific proteins or cells can be studied by overexpression or down regulation of genes or specific tools in various cell types.

Our activities comprises a full DNA-vector service for the generation of new plasmids, a production area for the generation of viral particles and an area in which we analyze specific viral properties.
